Visit The Jeffrey NYC for a back-to-basics experience for beer lovers in the afternoon and evening. This venue, located under the Queensboro Bridge at 311 East 60th Street in Manhattan, appears very basic, like an old neighborhood haunt. Combining two storefronts, this unassuming location and appearance is incredibly impressive from its tap list.
It was great to find an ample supply of Hill Farmstead on tap in Manhattan. As much as we love travelling to Vermont to the source, the trip is not always on our time budget. Well, as of this writing, only one week later, it looks like the Hill Farmstead kegs kicked….last week there were three, so keep checking.

During the morning rush and through early afternoon, The Jeffrey’s espresso and growler bar will be serving locally-roasted artisanal coffees from Cafe Grumpy, an assortment of breakfast pastries and growlers of beer-to-go. In the afternoon and evening, The Jeffrey morphs into a craft beer and cocktail destination featuring a highly-advanced, custom-built draft system from which 30 rotating hard-to-find international and local brews will be poured with temperature and pressure precision. A separate growler bar tasting area with 10 taps will be used for brewery nights and beer/bourbon/whiskey tasting classes.”

Their name derives from the movie “Get Him to the Greek” as in “Everyone Loves a Jeffrey!” The Jeffrey NYC is part of the ‘Beerly Legal’ group by Patrick Donagher and Andy Freedman that includes other revered NYC beer enterprises Alewife NYC, Fools Gold NYC and Get Real Presents.
